Today most commercial registers provide key information in an electronic format. For example, the Swiss central business name index (www.zefix.ch) provides a search function for companies. Key information presented include board members, persons with signing rights and the timeline of events, e.g. changes to the capital. Also, a link to the more granular commercial register filing is provided. Under this link the company can also retrieve a PDF version of the key information or can order a notarised version from the commercial register.
